Chris Bush graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 1993 and was a professional photographer, market research analyst, and computer programmer before being awarded a Kennedy Scholarship to attend California Western School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2005. He recently opened his own practice in 2018 after spending 12 years with other firms focusing on consumer and small business bankruptcy. He has served on the Local Rules Committee and Bankruptcy Court Advisory Board and was recently honored by the Court for his work with the District's weekly Legal Aid Clinic. He has also litigated appeals in Federal District Court and before the 9th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. He has been a speaker on topics such as Student Loan Dischargeability and Best Practices for Chapter 13 Fee applications.
